Windows

Most old windows frames were made from wood. Metal window frames were increasingly more common from the sixteeth century. Frames from this time were usually handmade wrought iron.

Early windows were created from mutiple small pieces of glass held together with strips of lead.

Sash windows - first appeared in the middle of the seventeeth century.
The windows slide up and down.
