Forces and Magnets

Facts about Forces

A force may push or pull something, making it move.
Forces may make things start, stop, speed up or slow down.

Gravity is a type of force which pulls things towards the centre of the Earth.

Friction is a type of force that slows things down.

Air Resistance is a type of friction.

Magnets have two poles - north and south.

Magnets attract some metals, such as iron and nickel. They do not attract metals such as copper or gold.
