Wales (Powys)

England

Shropshire

  • Shrewsbury (county town and historic city)
    Darwin was born in Shrewsbury, England in a house on the banks of the River Severn.

There are six large automated locks on the lower course of the
River Severn between Stourport and Gloucester.

    This is where the River Severn meets the Avon. Best known for its Abbey and being the site of the decisive battle in the Wars.

    One of Britain’s most inland ports, Gloucester Docks
    was once bustling with trade in timber, hops, grain,
    oil and coal.
